The Phoenicians’ Route

The Phoenicians’ Route is a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe that follows the ancient nautical routes used by the Phoenicians and other ancient civilizations such as the Greeks, Romans, Iberians, Etruscans and many others.

 

Since 2003, the Phoenicians’ Route joins networks of the Mediterranean countries through institutional entities, territorial and thematic networks, private operators from different sectors, with the aim of promoting the Mediterranean Culture, encouraging intercultural dialogue and strengthening ties between countries sharing the same history and cultural, educational, tourist activities on creativity and experience. Moreover, it is a Network of museums, schools, naturalistic areas, local action groups, tour operators.
