The innovation proposed by Trames project is in line with Phoenicians’ Route innovation strategy. The tools of this strategy are the so-called Smart Ways, paths of excellence that will be created in 8 leading areas of Trames project, in 5 countries, following the most innovative applications and methodologies in the field of local development and tourism. These leading areas will take advantage of new tourism and development approaches based on creativity, heritage interpretation and involvement of local communities and stakeholders.
By means of Smart Ways, many factors can be integrated:
sustainability, creative innovation, community participation, local production sectors, heritage pedagogy and communicative interpretation in cultural and natural fields, landscape role, experiential and slow tourism, accessibility for all, ethic vision of tourism and others.
The project will act as a facilitator of territorial dynamics of sustainable development through a creative approach and destination management.
